Why has my ice maker stopped making ice?
Short answer
Ice makers fail in two directions and they need opposite repairs. Too little water shows as small, hollow or misshapen cubes and traces back to the filter, the inlet valve or a fill tube icing up. No production at all, with the freezer still cold, means the harvest cycle is not running — the module, its thermostat or its motor. We measure pressure at the valve first, because that single reading decides which repair you are paying for.
